Okay, this is for you jen_liz .  From a week old meme, here are my men in no particular order:

I asked this question to maple_mahoganya while ago when I first started reading fan fiction, now I'm curious to see what everyone else thinks.  When you are reading fanfiction, what does the image you have of your favorite HP characters look like?  For example, when you are reading a R/Hr story, are you picturing Rupert and Emma?  Are you conjuring images from the works of the amazingly talentedreallycorking or some other fanartist? ; Or are the versions you have of R/Hr (or other HP characters) completely made up from your own imagination?  Do different fanfics have you conjuring different images of the same characters?

Personally, when I imagine Ron in fanfics, I think I'm mostly imagining Rupert  with some slight alterations -- older, taller, a tatoo or two, freckles and uhmm *coughs, blushes* well endowed  (well, I don't really know if that last bit would be an alteration for Rupe or not -- God, I'm such a dirty old woman!).   For Hermione it's a different story.  My version of her sort of starts with Emma Watson, but looks more like reallycorking 's Hermione.  She's older, more mature, has definitely grown less annoying and she has crazy, wild, bushy hair.  Oh, and my Hermione as a tatoo on the small of her back that says "Weasley is my King" .... that part of my image was added recently, courtesy of jen_liz 's story called  "Graduation Day (And Night)".

My Harry has a base of Daniel Radcliffe, but always with longer, messier hair, only slightly taller but definitely much shorter than Ron. He's a bit broader then Dan and WAY more masculine.  And again, my Ginny is much more along the lines of reallycorking 's Ginny than Bonnie Wright.
